USING THE SEARCH TOOLS
Simply clicking on the "go" button will yield all images in the gallery. You can limit the search results with one or more of these search options, available on every page:

• By Keyword: Type in any word that might be used to describe an image. This feature searches captions and keyword fields for each image. The entire input is searched for as a single word; quotes are not needed around phrases.
• By Year: Select a year. We hope to include photos from as many previous years' events as possible.
• By Category: Select a category. Most images are listed in one or more categories.
• By Photographer: Select from a list of photographers whose images have been added to the gallery.

IMAGE VIEWING
The results are displayed as thumbnail images, along with photographer names and the year the photo was taken. Click on a thumbnail to view the full-sized image. Each page of search results is limited to 20 thumbnails; additional images will be displayed on separate pages linked from the first.

NAMING CAPTIONS
Photographers may or may not know who the subjects of the images were. If you know the names of subjects, art works or individuals in photographs not shown in online images, please let us know. We'll try to update the captions where possible.

CONTRIBUTING IMAGES
We have an automated form for adding images to the database. Once you register as a photographer (free, easy, and non-invasive), you can submit images to the gallery. A photo editor reviews submissions and selects the best for inclusion in the gallery.

What are we looking for? Exceptional photography and/or photographs of camps, artwork, people and events that will be relevant to the Burning Man community as a whole. A large number of individual sites are already online with many photos.
